I did like Room by Emma Donoghue. You might enjoy an interview with her that was published on Talking Writing: http://talkingwriting.com/?p=19125 (I write an art column for them on occasion and have done a few interviews as well)<br /><br />They also interviewed Jennifer Egan: http://talkingwriting.com/?p=20549 -- I thought that was a brilliant interview. And I did like Message from the Good Squad, though would have benefited from some discussion as would my reading of Edgar Sawtelle. BOTH of my sons like Cormac McCarthy and I did read The Road, but tough, tough story.<br /><br />I loved The Great House as well as the History of Love (I think that's the title) by Nicole Krauss. <br /><br />And so many of these books I have yet to read. Thanks for the list -- great to have some guidance for my summer reading. And, yep, gotta find a book club!Judith A.
